This study aims to analyze the association between ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and the international reputation of Brazilian publicly traded companies in 2024. The research, quantitative and descriptive in nature, used data from the Merco ranking and LSEG ESG scores for a sample of 32 companies from different sectors. Three regression models were tested: the first considering the aggregated ESG index, the second analyzing the three pillars ESG separately, and the third examining ten specific dimensions. The results showed that ESG performance is strongly related to reputation, especially environmental and governance aspects. Internal management stood out as a decisive factor in strengthening corporate image. It is concluded that investing in sustainability practices and transparent governance not only meets regulatory requirements but also enhances corporate legitimacy and reputation on the global stage. This study provides practical insights for corporate strategies aligned with sustainable development.
