This article aims to present the development of distance education through technology, and how it contributes to the evolution of this mode of teaching. At the same time, an analysis of the techniques used by teachers in each of the technologies presented will be shown. Thus, the article aims to present the contribution of each technological device to build the identity of the EAD. This study was developed in the course of the Brazilian Education Program for Graduate Education, University Tiradentes (PPED / UNIT).
